Avril Lavigne, a skater-punk, dynamic spirit and a true wild child. Coming from the small town of Napanee, Ontario in Canada, you'd expect her to be a shy small-town gal. But Avril is anything but. At a young age she always had the determination to do what she wanted and to take off on her own. And always knew what she wanted to achieve. This outrageous 17 year old started her up-front career, with songwriting in New York. And she's got what it takes to reach her desired stardom, all on her own rules.

In her songs, she writes what she feels, says what she thinks, and she doesn't care what people say. She's real. This is proved on her debut album Let Go. She flaunts her sassy vocals that adorn a real lyrical style. Her first single "Complicated" proved that she was real, and that you shoudn't try to be somone you're not, and you should always be true to yourself. It doesn't matter what other people think.

The moody "I'm With You" connects more with Avril's mellow and sensitive side. This song shows that even the toughest sweets, have softer centers. Although songs like "Unwanted" and "Losing Grip" shows that even though she may act tough, she has feelings, and is human, like everyone else.

The album Let Go goes through ups and downs of Avril Lavigned thoughts and feelings, and is truly an inspirational album.
